Dear Border Church Family,
This week we will be having Church in our regular venue at the QCWA Hall at 169 Griffith Street, Coolangatta. Parking can be found on Griffith and Boundary Streets as well as on Marine Parade. For shaded parking you can park under Twin Towns. We will be meeting at 9:30am (QLD), 10:30am (NSW) and look forward to spending time with you.
Border Church this Week
This December we have looking at the birth of Jesus story through the eyes of his mother, Mary, in a series called Mary Christmas. This week we look at the life of Mary after the birth of Jesus in "There's Something About Mary".
Kids/Youth Church will be running for the time that the service is on, directly after the worship.
We always have a healthy plant-based fellowship lunch after Church. This week we are having pot luck. Bring your favourite dish or just stay and enjoy ours. We will have a special prayer time during Church as we consecrate the coming year, 2025, to the Lord and ask Him to direct our paths over this new year.
This Weekend
This week back by popular demand our youth will be playing basketball, but with a shocking twist! Border Youth is on from 5:30-7:30 NSW Time at the usual place.
News and Upcoming Events
Last Saturday was a blessing as Abdiel, Lawrence and Ben from our youth as well as one of our newer friends Benn, who has been coming since our September outreach, went down into the waters of baptism and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As a surprise, another person watching nearby, Adrian, also chose to be baptised this day. We have more baptisms coming up in February among our youth and adults!
The staff at the Tweed Valley Hospital Children's Ward were very thankful for our Youth coming through with gifts for their children. They report that the children were very happy and blessed with the gifts. A special thank you also to our friend Denise who donated the presents.
Start 2025 with Wisdom. Join us as we read a chapter of Proverbs every day of January.
There is still time to do a deep dive into a Character, Story, Book or Topic in the Bible and share what you discover.
Throughout December we are going to look at the story of Jesus' birth and incarnation through the eyes of Mary. Please invite your friends as we sing some of the classic praise and worship songs centered around this timeless story of Jesus' invasion into this world.
Starting in 2025 we will be exploring the two letters to the Corinthians in a series titled "Cryptic Cross-Talk". This will be a fascinating study of our

Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Prayer meetings are on Wednesdays at 3pm at 179 Botanical Circuit, Banora Point. Please message me or speak to Lorraine if you have any prayer requests we can add to our list. All are welcome to join as we pray for our community and upcoming projects.
Sealed & Revealed
Season 2 of Sealed & Revealed has now concluded. Season 3, looking at the book of Daniel, will begin in January.

Bible Discovery Groups
For 2024, make it a resolution to begin or to join at least one Discovery Bible Reading Group. They are super simple to do and a great way to learn in community with others, especially those new to the Bible. You can get something out of this no matter what level you are at. We would love to show you how to lead one of these groups simply. Please let us know if you would like to start one.
Other worship opportunities
We run Alpha small groups on a regular basis and if you would like help hosting one for your friends or loved ones to discover Jesus and the basics of the Bible, please let us know.
